1. About these terms
ReviewStamp is developed and licensed by Rooster Consulting in Ontario, Canada. These terms govern the ReviewStamp website, application and documentation. Read the applicable plan description, checkout details and Privacy Policy before using or purchasing the product.
If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it. A separately signed agreement takes priority where it expressly varies these terms. Mandatory legal rights and rights already granted under an existing purchase or licence are not removed by a future plan description.
2. Free version and planned Pro plan
The ongoing free version is separate from ReviewStamp Pro. It is not a trial that automatically becomes paid. Installing ReviewStamp or using the free version does not authorize a charge. Available free functions and limits depend on the version supplied.
PLANNED launch offering: ReviewStamp Pro, an annual named-user subscription at CAD 150 per user per year before applicable taxes, alongside the separate ongoing free version. Live purchasing is not yet enabled. The final payable price, currency, taxes, included features and renewal terms will be shown before purchase.
Only features expressly described as available in the offering you obtain are included. Development plans, beta access and preview demonstrations are not commitments to deliver unfinished features or licensing services.
3. Named users and supported devices
The planned Pro model assigns each paid seat to one named person. Organizations must hold enough valid seats for their assigned users. Do not share credentials or reuse activation invitations to give more people concurrent access than the purchased capacity allows.
Supported platforms, account verification, any device limits and any supported seat-reassignment process must be disclosed before purchase. Use of one entitlement across Windows and Android depends on the released version and purchase channel; current beta access does not guarantee that capability. This website does not currently provide user accounts or organization seat management.
An organization folder profile or transferred project does not establish a paid licence or administrator authority. Keep any credentials secure and contact support about suspected unauthorized access.
4. Payments and annual renewal
If a purchase is made through Paddle, Paddle is the merchant of record and payment seller; Rooster Consulting supplies and licenses ReviewStamp. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy apply to that transaction. App-store purchases are governed by the store’s billing terms.
When offered, an annual Pro subscription renews for another annual period unless cancelled with the billing provider before renewal, as disclosed and authorized at purchase. The checkout identifies the amount, currency, taxes and renewal terms. Required price-change notices and consent requirements will be respected.
Keep the provider’s purchase confirmation and subscription-management instructions. Sandbox transactions are tests, not live sales.
5. Cancellation, refunds and expiry
Cancel through the provider that billed you. For Paddle, use the management link in your purchase email or request assistance at paddle.net. For a store purchase, use that store’s subscription settings. ReviewStamp support can help identify the route.
Ordinary cancellation stops the next renewal and normally leaves paid access available until the paid period ends. It does not itself request a refund. Refund, withdrawal and defective-product rights are covered by our Cancellation & Refunds Policy, the provider’s rules and applicable law.
After paid access ends, Pro-only functions may be restricted and the available free functions apply. Expiry alone does not authorize deletion of your project files. Keep independent backups; continued access to every paid editing or export function without a valid entitlement is not guaranteed.
6. Software licence and acceptable use
Subject to these terms and any applicable paid entitlement, Rooster Consulting grants you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the supplied application and documentation for lawful work. The software, website design, documentation and original content belong to Rooster Consulting or its licensors. Third-party and open-source components retain their own licences.
Do not unlawfully copy, resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, remove ownership notices from, disrupt or circumvent the product or its access controls. This restriction does not override rights expressly protected by law. Use and share only material you are authorized to handle, and do not use ReviewStamp for unlawful or harmful activity.
7. Professional responsibility
ReviewStamp organizes construction observations, drawings, photographs and reports. It does not provide engineering or architectural judgment, certify compliance, supervise construction, determine site safety or replace contractual duties. Users remain responsible for professional decisions and qualified advice.
Before issuing a report, verify numbering, review and issue dates, wording, status, carried-forward items, photographs, drawing references, recipients and the complete generated output. Check dictated or AI-assisted wording against the original facts. An issued report or protected original still requires verification.
The current workflow uses Android for field work and Windows for report production. Finalize editable reports in Word and export PDF through Word. ReviewStamp does not currently provide an iPhone app.
8. Project content, storage and backups
You retain your rights in your drawings, photographs, observations, reports and other project content. You are responsible for permission to collect, use and share it, including personal information and client or consultant material.
ReviewStamp is local-first. Project content stays on your device or in locations you choose. Licensing and payment records are separate from project-file storage. ReviewStamp does not operate a hosted repository for your project files; a cloud-synchronized folder is operated by your selected storage provider.
Keep verified independent backups and import necessary documents before relying on offline work. Autosave protects the working record on the current device; project packages are deliberate transfers, not automatic cross-device synchronization. Creating an export does not prove that a storage provider has synchronized it or that another device has imported it. You and your organization control project access, retention, archiving and deliberate deletion.
9. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains website, support and enabled payment or entitlement processing. Do not send support passwords, full card details or unnecessary confidential project material.
Operating systems, app stores, Word, storage providers and optional external services have their own terms and availability. The AI Integration Tool uses your chosen external AI service; it does not embed AI or automatically upload project content. Review confidentiality requirements before sharing anything and check all suggestions before applying them. A ReviewStamp subscription does not include unrelated third-party products or guarantee their availability.
10. Updates, availability and beta versions
Compatibility and features may evolve. Maintenance, updates and internet access may be needed for installation or an enabled purchase or licensing process. Offline use depends on the installed version and its valid access state; it is not a promise of permanently offline activation.
Beta and test versions may contain defects. Do not use them as the sole record of a project. Unless agreed in writing, no service-level guarantee or continuous support response time is promised. Product help is available through our Support page.
11. Suspension and ending use
Access may be limited after paid access ends, a payment is reversed, licensing is misused or a material breach or security issue requires action. Appropriate notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue will be provided where required by law. This does not reduce valid refund rights or permit automatic deletion of locally controlled project files.
You may stop using ReviewStamp at any time. Uninstalling it does not cancel a subscription. Export and back up necessary information before uninstalling or using any deliberate cleanup action.
12. Warranties and responsibility for loss
To the extent permitted by law, ReviewStamp is supplied without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors or suitability for every project. Use appropriate review, backup and security procedures. Except where the law requires otherwise, Rooster Consulting does not accept responsibility for third-party service failures or losses caused by inaccurate user inputs, unauthorized changes or failure to maintain backups.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability, warranties, consumer protections or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes, governing law and contact
The effective date identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated when required and will not remove accrued rights or override applicable notice and consent requirements for an existing purchase.
Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law govern these product terms, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights where you live. Paddle and app stores have separate terms for their payment services.
