Common questions
Open Site Review from Field Review or Deficiency Review. Use location, drawing, status or discipline filters, then set a custom walking order if you want a particular route. Opening and finishing an item returns you to the review queue.
Use Quick View / Markups to reframe or rotate the viewed copy and add arrows, text, crosses or check marks. Review the result and save the view and marks deliberately. Captions and photo order stay with the item; the full-size original is preserved.
Preview brings item wording, statuses, photos, captions and drawing excerpts together. Open an item from Preview to inspect its drawing context and evidence, then return to continue reviewing. Image adjustments have an explicit Save View or Discard choice before leaving.
Connect the prepared library maintained by your firm, using code books and standards you are authorized to access. Search and verify passages against the source page, then attach an accepted passage with its edition and page reference. ReviewStamp does not supply a code-book subscription or determine compliance for you.
ReviewStamp is local-first. Project data is stored on the device or in the project folder chosen by the user. ReviewStamp does not provide a cloud repository for drawings, reports, photos, or specifications.
ReviewStamp is being prepared for Windows computers and Android tablets and phones. Windows is the primary office and report-production environment; Android is designed for field capture and project-package transfer.
ReviewStamp project packages can be exported and imported between supported installations. A company-managed OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, network folder, or another approved transfer method can be used to move the package.
Include the ReviewStamp version, device type, the action you were attempting, and the exact message displayed. Do not send confidential project files unless support specifically requests them and you are authorized to share them.
It assembles an items-only Word draft for one item or selected reports, with photos, item references, source-report disciplines, instructions, and a strict response template. You upload it to an external AI service of your choice. Paste or open its structured response in ReviewStamp, check the matches, compare current and suggested text, then approve selected wording or photo-caption changes. ReviewStamp does not provide embedded AI, send data automatically, or change item status from AI suggestions. Share only information you are authorized to disclose and verify every technical statement.
Yes. Drawing-linked photo logs keep grouped site photos separate from numbered report observations. You can show or hide their pins and later select relevant photos for a report item.
JPEG, PNG, and BMP are supported. HEIC photos are decoded locally where the device and decoder support them; Android native HEIC decoding requires Android 9 or later. If a particular file cannot be decoded, convert it to JPEG before attaching it. ReviewStamp does not currently provide an iPhone app.
On Windows, choose report and project-package destinations for each project. Keep finished Word reports separate from the source packages used for transfer and recovery. Android destinations use the available system storage providers; device-local working data remains distinct from a saved transfer package.
No. Autosave protects the working record on the current device. Export a project package when you want a transferable copy, then import it on the other device and check the available revision or conflict information. ReviewStamp does not automatically synchronize projects across devices.
Generate the editable Word report on Windows, complete your professional review in Word, and use Word to export or save a PDF. Supporting evidence is separate: when attachments exist, you can choose an optional appendix rather than inserting entire shop-drawing packages into the report.
